Our Story

Shmants is the creative brainchild of designer and mum-of-two, Renée. Uninspired by the sad sea of beige basics, questionable dinosaur prints, and flimsy fabrics when her firstborn was little, she started making pants that were bold, playful and practical.

Building a brand that champions locally made - Renée has produced and collaborated entirely within New Zealand — ensuring every detail stays close to home and true to local craftsmanship.

With a nostalgic nod, Shmants has been designed for the vibrant kids of today — from its roomy fits and deep pockets to music-inspired names. It brings a Glastonbury headlining spirit for the everyday moments…because as parents know often the real headline act is a 3pm kitchen meltdown.
