Every Shmants garment is designed, pattern-drafted, cut, sampled, and stitched right here in New Zealand. From first sketch to final stitch it's all local. Our process is also proudly free from single-use plastic. The only time these pants get packaged up is when they’re heading out the door to you.

Plastic free packaging

We keep it simple and 100% locally sourced — tissue, card, and waxed cotton swing tag ties. No plastic, no excess. Just packaging that does the job without messing with the planet. 

Supporting local

We’re committed to keeping Shmants as local as possible. Our elastic and signature patches come from Auckland-based suppliers, our sewing cotton and supplies are bought locally and all printing including stickers, swing tags and cards are done in Tauranga. We also collaborate with local creatives across graphic design, copywriting, photography, and editing. In a world where offshoring is overwhelming us, we’re proud to keep it close to home — step by thoughtful step.
